RED SEA RIVIERA - EGYPT

One of the things I love about travelling the world is being surprised. Being surprised with the beauty of somewhere that you had no idea existed. Egypt was one of those places.

Having been to The Bahamas earlier this year I was used to snorkelling and seeing clear oceans. Words can't describe the colour of areas of the Red Sea that we visited.

Blue. A tropical blue, that of the nature similar to The Caribbean. We took at number of excursions on the trip with Red Sea Holidays - one of them being boat. We headed out to Orange Bay (looked similar to images of the Maldives) and saw dolphins on the way.

We stayed at the Makadi Spa hotel which was nothing but 5*. The interior, exterior - every angle was immaculate and pure luxury.

Red Sea Holidays offer a number of excursions - another being quad biking in the desert. I am the biggest adrenaline junkie and this was my idea of the best day. Setting off super early meant it wasn't suffocatingly hot. I can't describe how incredible it was off roading in the parched surroundings. There was no one and nothing. Just nature and views. Dying to go back and do it all over again.

Deep in the desert we jumped off our quads and straight onto camels. Another experience I won't forget - if there is one thing about visiting new places it's diving head first into the culture and heritage and camel riding certainly ticks that box.

City Of The Kings was next level incredible. Never have I ever seen anything like the architecture of Egypt. It's ruins and preserved crypts are just mind blowing.

Egypt is a beautiful country - if there's somewhere you should be putting on your list of places to travel this truly is it.
